Fourth Annual Winter Blues Jazz Fest, January 11 – 14
We are excited to announce that the 4th Annual Winter Blues Jazz Fest will take place January 11-14,2018. Mixology & Music is on Friday night this year. We have added an after party on Friday night based on the popularity of our late night gallery event, which will be on Saturday this year. See website for details!

Cabaret & Cocktails Featuring Byron Stripling’s “What a Wonderful World: Tribute to Louis Armstrong,” January 13
The Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra presents its fourth annual “Cabaret & Cocktails” concert at the Williamsburg Lodge. Janna Hymes, Music Director. Featuring the nationally acclaimed Byron Stripling.

MarsCon, January 12 -14
Go to the longest running science fiction/fantasy convention in Hampton Roads – MarsCon at the DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg. The convention runs Jan. 12-14. This is the 28th year of MarsCon.

Bitter Valentine Can Release at Alewerks Brewing Company, January 13
January 13 at noon in the Brewery Taproom, it’s the return of our highly-acclaimed Double IPA, Bitter Valentine. Consistently regarded as one of the best beers in Virgina since it’s debut, Bitter Valentine for 2018 is in 16 oz cans for the very first time.

A Multi-Cultural Celebration of Music, Song and Dance, January 14
Your eyes and ears are in for a special treat when Accordion Renaissance presents a multi-cultural performing arts celebration of music, song and dance. At the Williamsburg Regional Library.

Civil War Lecture Series – Confederate Pirates: The Capture of the St. Nicholas, January 13
Presented by John V. Quarstein, Director Emeritus, USS Monitor Center.The daring capture of the steamer St. Nicholas on June 2, 1861, in the Potomac River was the Union’s first charge of Confederate piracy during the Civil War.

Star Party – Laser Evenings, January 13
The Virginia Living Museum offers free star gazing beginning at sunset on the second Saturday of every month. The evening also includes a planetarium program and several laser shows.

Music Jam Session at Watermen’s Museum, January 10
Second Wednesday every month is Watermen’s Museum Music Jam Session: Don’t miss an evening of fun and music with ShantyGrass and visiting amateurs and professional musicians as you join them in passing songs around a circle.

First Hike Virginia, January 6 – 20
We will kick off the New Year with a trek to a distant, hidden gem in the park. The Pamunkey Overlook is at the bottom of a steep bluff along the York River. At York River State park.

Dominion Presents Liberty’s Ice Pavilion, Through February 18
Enjoy a family-friend activity this holiday season on historic Duke of Gloucester St. Join us at Liberty’s Ice Pavilion sponsored by Dominion.

Self-Guided Interpretive Hikes, Through January 15
Take a self-guided adventure along two interpretive trails. The half mile Bluebird loop is the paved walk way surrounding the Visitor Center. This trail allows all park guest to enjoy some of the most dramatic vistas of Taskinas Creek and the York River.

“Mixed Media” Exhibit at the Gallery at York Hall, Through March
Come and enjoy Mixed Media Art Show at  the Gallery at York Hall.  You can relish in our revolving exhibit of fine art in all media by local artists for display and sale. See website for winter hours.

Vinyl Night at Alewerks, Tuesdays
Join us each and every Tuesday night for Vinyl Night in the Taproom. Bring your own records, or listen to ours, either way it’s sweet vinyl spinning on the turntable. FoodaTude..Food with Attitude will be here too! Retro tunes, good food, and craft beer.

Trivia Night at Alewerks, Wednesdays
Wednesday night means the Taproom is the place to be for this battle of the brains. Bring your friends (or your enemies) and prove just how smart you really are. It’s an entertaining evening with great craft beer, and a thoroughly irreverent take on trivia. We’ll have food trucks here too with an ever-changing menu of delicious options.

The Comedy Club of Williamsburg, Saturdays through February 24
The Comedy Club of Williamsburg invites you to join us for a wonderful evening of fun and laughter. This is your chance to see nationally touring comedians many of whom who have appeared on shows such as Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, and HBO, David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon! Many of our comedians are Headliners on major stages in New York City, Las Vegas, and on the Cruise Lines! At the DoubleTree Hotel.

Friday Brewmaster’s Pin, Fridays
Every Friday at 4 pm at The Virginia Beer Company, we tap a small but potent Brewmaster’s Pin. Centrally located on the bar top in our taproom, these weekly cask concoctions give our brewing team the chance to add a personal touch to our draft offerings.
