LPGA Kingsmill Championship, May 14 – 20
Cheer on the world’s best women golfers at the next Kingsmill Championship, May 14-20, 2018.  The Kingsmill Championship will be contested on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. Kingsmill is a proven venue that has stood the test of time, having hosted over 30 professional golf events.

Arcade Hero: ACBW Video Game Night, May 17
Celebrate American Craft Beer Week by kicking it old school at the brewery! We’re setting up a collection of classic consoles for a night of video games at the brewery. We’ll have multiple stations set up with TV’s provided by The Catering Company and one big ol’ projector screen on loan from DJ Kudlz.

Putting for Patriots, Through May 28
“Putting for Patriots” Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, in Williamsburg, VA, will host the Twelfth Annual Putting for Patriots fundraiser from Friday, May 11 through Monday, May 28.

Release Party at Water Street Grille, May 16
An intimate place big on flavor and personality, and a Yorktown must-do, offering 20 micro brews and a delicious tapas menu. Your evening will feature a showcase of limited released beers from Heavy Seas Brewing.

Roaming Ranger at York River State Park, May 20 – June 10
You never know when a ranger will walk up to you, in the park, with a wild “critter”!  You will learn fascinating facts about the animal and may be able to touch or even hold the “friend”.

Virginia Leads with Way: Independence Day 1776, May 19
Help commemorate Virginia’s vote for independence which took place on May 15, 1776-just down the road in the colonial capital of Williamsburg. At York Hall in Yorktown.

Gilded Splinters/Alison Stinely, Through June 23
ALISON STINELY’S GILDED SPLINTERS In “Gilded Splinters,” Alison Stinely utilizes various types of sculpting in collaboration with oil painting in order to create impactful pieces that are independent of a traditional frame. Stinely’s work exudes a breath of life that it is everlasting, fantastical, and honest.

Destination: Dinosaur!, May 5 – 19
Roaring, stomping animatronic dinosaurs are back!  Journey back millions of years to the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods as you visit the Museum’s changing exhibit gallery and throughout the Museum grounds and experience life-like dinosaurs around every turn. At the Virginia Living Museum.

High Fiber Festival, May 19
All natural (75%) fiber festival at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church in Toano. There will be a variety of vendors featuring yarns, quilts and crafts. Fiber animals and plants will be present. Demonstrations include spinning, handweaving and weaving. There will be hands-on crafts, a children’s tent, quilt raffle and more!

Answering American’s Call – Exhibition Opening Day Celebration at the Mariners’ Museum, May 19
Answering America’s Call: Newport News in World War I, opening May 19, chronicles the transformation of Newport News as a result of the war. Visitors can learn how Newports News supported war efforts with the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company by viewing first-hand journals, letters, photographs and more.

Rain Barrel Workshop, May 19
In partnership with the Virginia Cooperative Extension, the City of Newport News Natural Resources Division, and the City of Newport News Recycling Office, The Mariners’ Museum and Park is hosting a rain barrel workshop! Participants will be guided through rain barrel assembly and will get to take home a finished product after this two-hour workshop.

Second 2018 Members’ Co-Op Show, Through June 8
The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center’s second 2018 Members Co-op Show opened on May 1 and is now underway through June 8. Featuring bodies of work of member artists and artisans, the show offers lots to see and take in – a variety of mediums and styles in the main and middle galleries.

Quilt Exhibit at the Gallery at York Hall, Through May 31
It’s the longest standing exhibit at the Gallery and you don’t want to miss the new additions for spring. Visit the Gallery to admire these beautiful handcrafted quilts. You’ll also find a collection of new art, jewelry, pottery, and much more for sale.

Bingo Night at the Satellite Taproom, Thursdays
Take a trip to the Premium Outlets for Bingo and Beer at the Alewerks Satellite location Thursday night! Bingo will be from 6pm til 7:30 and is free to play for all ages! Prizes, friends, and of course beer!

Yorktown Market Days, Saturdays
Our waterfront farmers market is one of the most unique in Hampton Roads-offering spectacular views of the York River, live music, food trucks, chef cooking demonstrations, and a variety of vendors! This year, the season starts mid-April, and you can enjoy weekly markets through the end of October.

Local Live Music at Billsburg Brewery, Thursdays Through May

Friday Brewmaster’s Pin, Fridays
Every Friday at 4 pm at The Virginia Beer Company, we tap a small but potent Brewmaster’s Pin. Centrally located on the bar top in our taproom, these weekly cask concoctions give our brewing team the chance to add a personal touch to our draft offerings.

Trivia Night at Alewerks, Wednesdays
Wednesday night means the Taproom is the place to be for this battle of the brains. Bring your friends (or your enemies) and prove just how smart you really are. It’s an entertaining evening with great craft beer, and a thoroughly irreverent take on trivia. We’ll have food trucks here too with an ever-changing menu of delicious options.

Williamsburg Comedy Club, Saturdays
