Riverwalk Restaurant Wine Expo, March 10
Sample more than 50 different wines, artisanal cheeses, local oysters, and sweets-all for a great cause! Proceeds from Riverwalk Restaurant’s Spring Wine Expo will benefit the Victory Peninsula YMCA of Yorktown.

2nd Sunday’s Art & Music Festival, March 11

Sip and Sculpt, March 9
A new Battle of Hampton Roads (BOHR) event where guests can enjoy a glass of their favorite adult beverages while creating their own iron-cast molds. The molds will then be used to turn the design into a work of art using traditional iron-casting techniques during iron pour demonstrations throughout the weekend. At the Mariners’ Museum.

Civil War Lecture: The Age of Iron, March 10
Civil War lectures are free with Museum admission, but reserving a seat is suggested as seating is limited. Reserve seats below. Following the American Civil War a number of improvements were made to ironclad vessels to better project the imperialistic interests of world nations.

History Bites, March 10

Women with Vision: Masterworks from the Permanent Collection, Through May 13
The Muscarelle Museum of Art is proud to present Women With Vision: Masterworks from the Permanent Collection in conjunction with William & Mary’s 100 Years of Women celebration. This exhibition features over thirty works by prominent women artists from the permanent collection and is comprised of a variety of media styles and time periods expressing their vision.

Guerilla Girls: Conscience of the Art World, Through May 13
The Muscarelle Museum of Art is proud to present Guerrilla Girls: Conscience of the Art World in the Herman Graphic Arts Room as part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of coeducation at William & Mary and in Virginia. Since 1985 and even more stridently today, the Guerrilla Girls have been concerned with broader discrimination; particularly social oppression related to race, class, and gender.

Civil War Lecture: Passaic-Class Monitors, February 10
Even though the USS Monitor was proclaimed the “little ship that saved the Union,” this experimental ironclad had numerous design flaws. The Monitor’s inventor, John Ericsson, set about to improve the design which resulted in the Passaic-class of monitor ships. At the Mariners’ Museum.

Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center Inaugural Juried Show, Select Dates through November 9
The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center’s inaugural regional juried show is open to the public through Nov. 9. Gulay Berryman, owner of the award-winning Williamsburg Art Gallery, judged the show-which includes 81 pieces from 59 local and regional artists-and presented cash awards to the winners at the artists’ reception preceding the exhibit’s opening.

Trivia Night at Alewerks, Wednesdays
Wednesday night means the Taproom is the place to be for this battle of the brains. Bring your friends (or your enemies) and prove just how smart you really are. It’s an entertaining evening with great craft beer, and a thoroughly irreverent take on trivia. We’ll have food trucks here too with an ever-changing menu of delicious options.
