Beer Dinner and “Steal the Pint” Night at Water Street Grille, December 14

Fall Lecture Series – Njinga of Angola: Africa’s Warrior Queen, December 14

Virginia Regional Ballet Nutcracker with the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra, December 16 & 17
Virginia Regional Ballet will be performing its 11th annual production of The Nutcracker Ballet on December 16th at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm and 17th at 2:00 pm with The Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra and guest principals from the Fort Wayne Ballet at the College of William & Mary.

Wreaths Across America Ceremony, December 17
A remembrance ceremony conducted by the Yorktown Coast Guard Station and members of local organizations pay tribute to our fallen war veterans. Fresh Christmas wreaths will be placed on grave markers to honor veterans buried there.

The show was completely revised in 2008 to offer a truly immersive look at the journey of the Magi while examining the latest clues and seeking once more to understand the appearance of the Star of Bethlehem. At the Virginia Living Museum.

Vinyl Night at Alewerks, Tuesdays

A Colonial Christmas at Jamestown Settlement, December
Experience centuries-old holiday traditions and, December 23-31, festivities featuring period musical entertainment and appearances at Jamestown Settlement by the Lord of Misrule. A Jamestown Settlement holiday film and interpretive programs compare and contrast English Christmas customs of the period with how the season may have been observed in the difficult early years of the Jamestown colony.

The regal Palace Ballroom comes to life by candlelight as Colonial Williamsburg’s early music ensemble, Governor’s Musick, offers an elegant evening of chamber music.

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens, November 24 – January 1
Christmas shines brightest at Busch Gardens® Christmas Town™. The World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park is aglow with more than eight million lights, the largest light displays in North America. A tradition that began in 1945 continues with the Yorktown Tree Lighting. Wednesday night means the Taproom is the place to be for this battle of the brains. Bring your friends (or your enemies) and prove just how smart you really are. Dramatic Programs at the Nelson House, October 14-21
National Park Services is hosting two dramatic performances with questions and answer afterwards at the Nelson House. Seating is limited.

Mosaic Classes at On the Hill Gallery, October 19
We will be offering three new mosaic art classes, pick one or pick all three!  Participants will learn the proper techniques to break, glue and grout their masterpiece.  Cost includes supplies.

Yorktown Market DaysSaturdays through October
Featuring over 35 local farmers, producers, vendors, and artists throughout the season, including a variety of homegrown favorites and local art.  Delicious food, exciting entertainment, beautiful and inspiring artwork, and a view beyond compare. Weekly live music entertainment.  Shoppers can enjoy the added bonus of watching local chefs demonstrate the preparation of various dishes on select Saturdays.

Williamsburg Farmers Market, October 21
Over 40 vendors will bring meats, produce, mushrooms, flowers, pumpkins, fresh apples, artisan chocolate, cheese, honey, baked goods, peanuts and handmade soaps to the Williamsburg Farmers Market.

Spanish Wine and Tapas TastingSaturdays
Drop by this Saturday, from 1-4 PM, as we offer a free tasting of Spanish wines paired with authentic Spanish bites! Join us on a tour of Spain’s wine regions and grapes and discover a new favorite from La Rioja, Ribeiro del Duero or a Cava or Sherry.

Public Lecture: “Studebaker Goes to War!”

In conjunction with the “AfterWARd: The Revolutionary Veterans Who Built America” special exhibition, the Studebaker National Museum shares the story behind the carriage used by the Marquis de Lafayette during his 1824 visit to America and the museum’s long history of supplying vehicles to the military. “Pocahontas Imagined” Special Exhibition

Four hundred years after the 1617 death of Pocahontas in England, her image and legend live on. Using depictions of Pocahontas from across the centuries, Jamestown Settlement will present “Pocahontas Imagined,” a special exhibition opening July 15 through January 28, 2018, that illuminates the reasons behind her enduring legacy as well as her impression on popular culture and art.

The Irish Session: A Living Museum Tradition
