Food & Wine Festival at Busch Gardens, Weekends through July 1
A tasty adventure awaits culinary explorers at Busch Gardens® Food & Wine Festival. Busch Gardens invites guests to unleash their inner foodie with a variety of dishes and wines not normally served at the park.

Jamestown Jams – Groove Motive, May 25
Come and enjoy free live music for the first Jamestown Jams concert on Friday, May 25. The concert theme is Motown Night featuring Groove Motive. Entrance will open for each Jamestown Jams concert at 5:30 p.m. Concerts will take place on a grassy field within Jamestown Beach Event Park.

The Fifes and Drums of Yorktown, May 26 & 28
Nelson House May 26, at 4 PM, 200 Nelson St. Memorial Day Ceremony, York Hall, 301 Main Street, May 28, at 12 PM. Free.

Mead up – Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 – 27
If you’ve been to the meadery before you may already know that due to Virginia ABC law we are typically unable to sell mead by the glass. The exception is that a few times a year we are able to obtain a special permit which allows us to serve to you by the glass. We call these special weekends: MEAD UP.For our first MEAD UP of 2018 we are excited to be releasing a brand new limited edition mead made entirely from Virginia ingredients. On Friday, join us for Raspberry Passion Mead Release Day.

Memorial Day Ceremony at Grace Church, May 28
The ceremony will start in the Church with a few prayers and remarks, playing of “Taps”, then proceed to replace the US Flags on each of the 89 known veterans buried in the cemetery of the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Philippine Insurrection, World Wars 1 & 2, Korea, Cold War, and Vietnam with “Honors.”

Memorial Day Ceremony at York Hall, May 28
The York County Historical Committee presents the posting of colors, historical re-enactors, guest speaker, and the placing of flowers.

Memorial Day Acoustic Jam, May 28
Join us in the beer garden for some acoustic jams from Billy Joe Daniel along with DJ Kudlz on Memorial Day Monday from 3-7 pm. The Virginia Beer Company will be opening at NOON for the day – plus Suck On This BBQ ALL DAY – so come out early, stay late, and enjoy some brews & tunes!

Old City Jamfest 2018, May 27
Join us at Old City Barbeque on May 27th for the inaugural Old City Jam Fest. In collaboration with Virginia Beer Company and Copper Fox Distillery, Old City Barbeque is hosting a day of BBQ with Brews, Booze & Tunes!

D.O.G. Street Explorers Camp, May 22 – 29
The Colonial Explorer Camp is a new opportunity to engage both young history enthusiasts and those who just want to have fun while embracing colonial life. Tickets are for the entire week.

Alumni of the Colonial Williamsburg Fife & Drum Corps 60th Anniversary Party, May 27
Come celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Alumni of the Colonial Williamsburg Fife & Drum Corps on Sunday, May 27 and enjoy an All Star American Memorial Day with a special Fife & Drum Jam Session in the Billsburg Brewery Event Tent. Enjoy as members of the Colonial Williamsburg Fife & Drum from over the last 60 years get together for a party.

Dino on the Loose at the Virginia Living Museum, May 26
Join our walking T-Rex for dinosaur parades, photo ops and a roaring good time on the Dinosaur Discovery Trail! The trail also includes a Paleo camp, dig pits for amateur paleontologists, and displays of dinosaur fossils, including an actual whale specimen from Hampton Roads.

Summer Camps at Watermen’s Museum for All Ages, May 22 – June 2
Join the Watermen’s Museum this summer for several different fun summer camps for kids from kindergarten thru 12th grade.

Karaoke in the Park, May 26
Sing the night away while enjoying the park! All ages welcome. 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Weather permitting.

Wildlife Mapping at Freedom Park, May 26
Team up with the Virginia Master Naturalists to learn about and catalog wildlife in our local parks! Enjoy a day of learning about data collection and animal identification to help better understand the distribution of wildlife in the area. Bring a camera and discover birds, frogs, butterflies and mammals!

Watermen’s Museum Presents Yorktown Story Slam, May 28
Story tellers come together at the Yorktown Story Slam every fourth Monday of the month to share their true personal tales about a monthly theme.

Water Exploration Program, May 26
FREE Water Exploration Program at Waller Mill Park will give kids a hands-on opportunity to explore the reservoir and learn what makes a healthy water source, how our water sources are connected and how they impact the water sources around them.

Eco/History Paddle on Powhatan Creek, May 28
Explore Powhatan Creek by Paddleboard and learn the history about The Captain John Smith water trail, and also get up close to all the native wildlife of the Powhatan Creek.

Putting for Patriots, Through May 28
“Putting for Patriots” Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, in Williamsburg, VA, will host the Twelfth Annual Putting for Patriots fundraiser from Friday, May 11 through Monday, May 28.

Roaming Ranger at York River State Park, May 20 – June 10
You never know when a ranger will walk up to you, in the park, with a wild “critter”!  You will learn fascinating facts about the animal and may be able to touch or even hold the “friend”.

Gilded Splinters/Alison Stinely, Through June 23
ALISON STINELY’S GILDED SPLINTERS In “Gilded Splinters,” Alison Stinely utilizes various types of sculpting in collaboration with oil painting in order to create impactful pieces that are independent of a traditional frame. Stinely’s work exudes a breath of life that it is everlasting, fantastical, and honest.

Second 2018 Members’ Co-Op Show, Through June 8
The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center’s second 2018 Members Co-op Show opened on May 1 and is now underway through June 8. Featuring bodies of work of member artists and artisans, the show offers lots to see and take in – a variety of mediums and styles in the main and middle galleries.

Quilt Exhibit at the Gallery at York Hall, Through May 31
It’s the longest standing exhibit at the Gallery and you don’t want to miss the new additions for spring. Visit the Gallery to admire these beautiful handcrafted quilts. You’ll also find a collection of new art, jewelry, pottery, and much more for sale.

Bingo Night at the Satellite Taproom, Thursdays
Take a trip to the Premium Outlets for Bingo and Beer at the Alewerks Satellite location Thursday night! Bingo will be from 6pm til 7:30 and is free to play for all ages! Prizes, friends, and of course beer!

Williamsburg Farmers Market, May 26
Get all your Memorial Day Weekend goodies! Over 30 vendors will attend the Williamsburg Farmers Market this Saturday with strawberries, asparagus, Spring produce, prepared foods and baked goods, flowers, artisan chocolate, cheese, meats, peanuts and handmade soaps.

Yorktown Market Days, Saturdays
Our waterfront farmers market is one of the most unique in Hampton Roads-offering spectacular views of the York River, live music, food trucks, chef cooking demonstrations, and a variety of vendors! This year, the season starts mid-April, and you can enjoy weekly markets through the end of October.

Every Friday at 4 pm at The Virginia Beer Company, we tap a small but potent Brewmaster’s Pin. Centrally located on the bar top in our taproom, these weekly cask concoctions give our brewing team the chance to add a personal touch to our draft offerings.

Trivia Night at Alewerks, Wednesdays
Wednesday night means the Taproom is the place to be for this battle of the brains. Bring your friends (or your enemies) and prove just how smart you really are. It’s an entertaining evening with great craft beer, and a thoroughly irreverent take on trivia. We’ll have food trucks here too with an ever-changing menu of delicious options.
